The predecessor to SuttleLaw, P.C. was formed in 1982 by John C. Suttle. Mr. Suttle began his career as a tax practitioner with the international CPA firm, Touche Ross & Co. (now Deloitte & Touche, LLP), where he practiced from 1974 to 1977. After graduating from Hastings College of the Law, Mr. Suttle joined Pillsbury, Madison & Sutro (now Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman, LLP), first as an intern and then as an associate. There, he focused on estate and retirement planning, as well as tax and corporate law.
Mr. Suttle left Pillsbury, Madison & Sutro at the end of 1982 to establish his own law firm. In 1992, Mr. Suttle merged his practice with that of James F. Fotenos to form Fotenos & Suttle, P.C. In 2000, the Firm became SuttleLaw, P.C.
Paralegal Diane Peterson joined the Firm in 1996, bringing with her thirteen years of paralegal experience in probate and trust administration.
Associate Gretchen Bosschart Barber joined the Firm in 1997, specializing in estate planning, trust administration and taxation.
